8-Point Health Check

Wellness starts with awareness—right at home.

At Pad Home Pet Services, we believe routine checkups shouldn’t be stressful. Our in-home 8-Point Health Check helps spot early signs of illness, irritation, or pain—so small issues don’t become big problems.

Why It Matters

Pets can’t always tell us when something’s wrong. That’s why we take a full-body nose-to-tail approach to preventive care—one that starts with you, their pet parent—and ends with a trusted report for you and your veterinarian. Whether your pet has a chronic condition, or you just want peace of mind, Pad’s Fear Free™ Certified, skilled vet tech pet nurses are here to help.

What We Check

1. Pet Parent Assessment

closely for any recent changes in behavior, appetite, energy, or habits that could indicate an underlying issue.

2. Eyes

We check for dullness, discharge, squinting, or redness—early signs of infection, allergies, or more serious conditions.

3. Ears

We assess for odor, swelling, or discharge that could signal an infection or irritation. Both ears, every time.

4. Nose

Scabs, discharge, texture changes, or pigment shifts can reveal sensitivities or early signs of illness.

5. Mouth & Teeth

Gum health matters. We look for tartar, swelling, odor, color changes, or discomfort—important indicators of broader wellness.

6. Paw Pads

We inspect for cracks, inflammation, or wear that could be caused by allergies, surface contact, or dietary issues.

7. Skin & Coat

From hot spots to hair loss, we assess for bumps, lumps, matting, and texture changes that may suggest deeper health problems.

8. Anus & Genital Area

We check for signs of swelling, irritation, or scooting behavior—subtle cues that something’s off.
